A DIY Solid patio cover is a great choice for providing your family and your patio furniture with maximum protection against the outdoor elements.
You can enjoy your living space even when the weather isn’t ideal. With step by step instructions, you can easily add this shade structure to your home, yard or business.

Solid covers come with decorative rafter tails along the front fascia. They may be ordered without the rafter tails for a cleaner look.
Solid covers need ¼” per foot of slope for rain runoff. If you have the room we recommend at least ½” per foot. Covers may have more slope if you desire.
It is important to supply us with the correct snow and wind loads to make sure your cover is designed and quoted correctly.
Ceiling fans are able to be attached to solid covers. The optional fan beam and fan beam cap are used to support the fan and protect the wiring. You may see some examples in our photo gallery.
LED recessed lights are available for our solid covers and can be purchased as an optional item. Each roof pan you install lights in will need a fan beam cap to protect the light and wiring.
Solar panels may be attached on top of our solid roofs. We do not have any engineering or carry parts for the connections, the solar company supplies these. When attaching solar panels we recommend ordering a cover with a 10lb live load over what is required for your area.
